Recycle Event

Next date to recycle is Saturday May 7th from 8:30AM until 11:30am at the Dorothy Cavener Memorial Pak, 5201 N Hammond.

Warr Acres Recycle accepts the following clean and sorted items for recycling.

Plastics 1 and 2: Within the recycle symbol on the bottom of the item is a number, we can only accept the items with a 1 or 2 in the triangle.  This eliminates most yogurt, applesauce and butter containers; please check your items before you bring them.

Aluminum cans: soda pop and beer cans (no aluminum foil or pie pans)

Tin Cans: vegetables, dog food and the like

Glass: Clear, Brown, and Green.  Blue glass is not accepted.

Cardboard and paper: Waste Management has a drop-off at 5600 NW 4th, 1.5 blocks East of Mac Arthur on NW 4th.  This is a 24/7 facility, you can go anytime you like, it is always accessible.
